October 15, 2019

Buying a bike can be expensive. Whether you want a men’s bike or women’s bike, you need to do your research so that you do not end up with buyer’s remorse. As you are shopping around, you need to ask plenty of questions to get a good sense of whether this bike is right for you.

1. What Can This Bike Be Used For?

2. Can I Take It for a Test Run?

Some places are more willing to offer test runs than others. If you can get a feel for it, then you should take it.

3. Do I Need a Gender-Specific Bike?

You will find a great men’s bike or women’s bike at various stores. You do not necessarily need a gender-specific, but it never hurts to look in your category.

4. Do You Have a Warranty?

Always check on the warranty. If something happens to your bike in the first year, then you want to get it repairs and paid for quickly.

5. Do You Offer Any Servicing?

Some places solely sell bikes. Others sell bikes, but they will also fix it for you even if it falls outside of the warranty. It pays off handsomely to know precisely where you can go for any repairs just in case you need them down the line.

6. Can You Offer a Discount?

It never hurts to ask if you can get a lower price on a certain bike you really want. It will not necessarily work everywhere, but you never know. The sales associate may be willing to cut you a deal or show you a bike that is on sale.

7. Can You Install Extra Accessories?

You want to make sure your bike comes with everything you need to go on a ride right outside of the shop. If the bike you want does not come with a kickstand or some other important component, then ask about extra installation.

8. Do You Host Any Group Rides?

You may only be interested in riding your bike to work. However, you may also want to get in some exercise on the weekends. Some bike shops host groups that start at the store and then ride around town. It is a lot of fun, and you can meet some new friends.

9. What Level of Fit Do You Offer?

Your bike should be fitted perfectly to your body. Ask the salesperson if he or she can swap out the seat or make necessary adjustments so that it works for your needs.

10. What Bike Do You Ride?

If you have no clue which bike is right for you, then ask the salesperson which bike he or she prefers. You can get a first-hand review of an excellent bike right then and there.

There is no such thing as too many questions. You deserve to know exactly what you are getting when purchasing a new men’s bike. You can go to stores or search for a new bike online to see what all is out there.
